Terry Christensen

Terry originally qualified as a Trade Qualified Carpenter in Taranaki and worked with several large building firms before going to Australia, to gain some overseas building experience. On his return, he worked for Fletchers in Taranaki and then the Waikato. He opened his own building company in the Waikato and worked on many different projects including award-winning homes for 9 years. He also worked on commercial and industrial building sites during that time.

Our Senior Building Surveyor has diverse building knowledge is a Building Officials Institute of NZ (BOINZ) Accredited Building Surveyor of over 10 years of experience previously having his own business with his wife.

Terry is one of the longest-serving BOINZ Accredited Building Surveyors and his practical, as well as technical knowledge, allows him to produce independent quality reports for the New Zealand property selling or purchasing public. He is also a long-time member of the Certified Builders Association of NZ.

Terry joins TelferYoung to bring a new dimension to the services already being offered. As an Accredited Building Surveyor, he will give benefit not only to the potential building purchaser but provide confidence to the real estate, insurance and banking sectors in relation to the condition of a building, as well as advice to existing property owners around the compliance of their buildings with building regulations.
